Arrival

Day 1: Moshi / Arusha — Lake Manyara.

After having breakfast will leave Arusha at 09.00 am, drive for about 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park. Spend the afternoon on a game drive of this park, described as one of the hidden gems of Tanzania. This park is famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, hippos and baboons, tree climbing lions and large herds of elephant. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain times of the year hosts thousands of flamingos and a diversity of other bird life. Although it is one of the smallest parks, its vegetation is so diverse enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats. Late afternoon you will be transferred to hotel / tented camp for hot shower, dinner and overnight will take place on top of the Great Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Lake Manyara — Serengeti.

After breakfast drive to the Serengeti - one of the most famous game parks in Africa. The Serengeti National Park is the world's last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature's wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai 'Siringet', meaning endless plains. Here is home to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and many other small predators. All afternoon will be spent on game drive before enjoying dinner and the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti. Overnight in Seronera (the center of the Serengeti)

Day 3: Serengeti — Full day game viewing.

Today you have a full day to explore the Serengeti. Break the day into morning and afternoon game drives or take a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The park have endless plain which is a home for lion, leopard, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dog, gazelle, crocodiles and many more. Also you will enjoy variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds. Dinner and overnight in Seronera, Serengeti at lodge / tented camp.

Day 4: Serengeti — Ngorongoro Crater.

Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. After the game drive, return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th natural wonder of the world. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. The large bull elephants that reside here have an extremely large tusk, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. Arrival in Ngorongoro in the afternoon. Possibility for an afternoon walking safari in Ngorongoro highlands. Upon arrival in Ngorongoro you will check in to the lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater — Full Day.

A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater, hence you have the opportunity to find game easily. Rhino, in particular, can be seen regularly as well as prides of lions and other predators like cheetahs. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today. There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest. After a stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake, and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, you will ascend the crater floor and be transferred to the lodge for a hot shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater — Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park with your picnic lunch. Tarangire derived its name from the Tarangire River which crosses along the center of the park and which provide permanent water for the wildlife and birdlife of the park round the year. It is here where a large group of different species of animal concentrate during the dry season and the best place to take many pictures. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Also it is in Tarangire by chance you can see the tree climbing African pythons. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, along the Tarangire River. Late afternoon you will be transferred to the lodge for a hot shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park — Arusha / Moshi / Airport Departure.

After early breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive at tarangire National Park and thereafter a walking safari to the park boundary will be escorted by armed rangers. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals — the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. You will thereafter have hot lunch at the lodge and have a short rest before starting a journey to Arusha town and take you to your hotel or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight back home.
